Materials:

Resources:
"Amazing Bats" by Seymour Simon "Spiders are not Insects" by Allan Fowler

Procedure:
Day 1: Have students write name on front of book "Read "Spiders are not Insects" book and tell students to listen for facts about spiders "Together look at first page of book and go through the list one by one -crossing out things that are untrue and circling things that are true "Have students choose one thing they circled and copy it in the "my favorite thing" box. Then draw a picture of a spider.

"Day 2: Read "Amazing Bats" and repeat circling, crossing, and drawing pictures

Day 3 * complete the comparison of spiders and bats "Note works cited page on back
