Procedure:
Introduce the story by showing the students the big map of the city. Ask the students what type of community this is...They should answer Suburban. Then, ask why do they think it is a suburban community? Listen to their repsponses.
Read the story My Street to the students. After the story... Discuss how the street used to look in the past and how it has changed over the years.
Using the overhead, read the sentences and ask the students which side they should go on, either on the past or present side.
Discuss the activity as a whole group first, then, have the students do their own work.
