Introductory Activity (Warm-Up): Group students according to height, hair color, eye color, etc., and discuss characteristics. |
Lesson: Open A Look at Things PowerPoint template (file 1).Slide 1: Type student name Slides 2-4: Delete the word that does not belong. Drag the correct word to the line to complete the sentence. Slides 5-6: Delete the picture that does not have the identified characteristic. Slides 7-8: Drag the correct picture to the box to create a group with the identified characteristic.

Extension: Students could use Kidspiration or Kid Pix to create a picture/web of their own demonstrating a specific characteristic. Student could separate and arrange a group of pictures of people according to their characteristics.
