| Procedures |
Introductory Activity (Warm-Up): Show students pictures from a magazine and talk about the sequencing words. Have them place pictures in sequence, or use the words, over, under, below, and above with them. |
Lesson: Students save the PowerPoint template(file 1) to their own file.Students open the PowerPoint template(file 1). In the section titled Before and After, students will click and drag according to each individual slide. In the section titled More Time or Less Time, students will drag the correct picture into the box. In the section titled Over, Under, Above, Below, students will drag pictures into position as directed by the teacher. Students will explain why each picture goes where they have placed it. Students will print the activity and make a mini book.

Reteach: To be determined by the teacher based on student needs

Extension: Students will add their names to the last slide by choosing the text box.Students will add their picture to the last slide by choosing insert and locating their picture from a bank of student pictures. Students will add any other sequencing pictures to the last slide as determined by the teacher.

Guiding Questions: Can you explain why one picture comes before another one?Why would another student choose a different answer than you? Can you explain why one activity would take less time than another?

Summary Questions: Can you give an example of two different activities where one would take less time than the other?If students were in line, could you tell me who was first, second or third in line?
