Introductory Activity (Warm-Up): The activity above under "Internet Links" provides a quick, five-minute introduction to the lesson in either English or Spanish.Also, you can supplement your "Where We Live" unit by downloading the following videos from the KLRN/Unitedstreaming site on our intranet (English videos only):

Lesson: Following a 10-minute warmup on KidKeys...1. Using the "Where_We_Live2" Kidspiration template (file 1), have the students drag the pictures of various activities to the appropriate location: Home, School, or Community. 2. Click the Writing View, and add the name and details describing the activities. 3. Change the font, size, and color of the text.

Extension: Think, Pair, Share:1. If you could choose one activity, which would you choose and why? 2. Would you choose any of these activities as a career choice for yourself? You can add your reasons for why or why not in the Writing View. Then share with a partner.
