Lee houses a magnet school and two programs: the International School of the Americas, North East School of the Arts, and the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Academy. It is also the only high school in the district with smaller learning communities. The school’s non-magnet students have been divided into four “houses” named after the letters of Lee’s mascot, the VOLS or volunteers. Teachers, one administrator and one counselor are assigned to each house, which allows teams of teachers to focus on a small group of students and provide a coherent instructional program that is personalized throughout their high school years.
